Scores on hold
A score played on an emulator the platform does not recognise yet is never lost: it is kept with its signed proof and enters the rankings as soon as that emulator is recognised.

How an emulator gets recognised
Two ways. Either it announces the source code it was built from, and we verify it with its publisher, in which case it is recognised straight away, from the very first player. Or it does not, and it is recognised once 2 different players use it, because a ranking assumes everyone plays on the same emulator.
After three months without recognition, or if the game ruleset changes meanwhile, the wait ends and those scores will not be ranked. You can still find them on your account.
